In reply to Jason A. Thompson's question from 2007-11-20:
After upgrading to Stata 10, batch jobs executed from Textpad result in a Stata window with a message like "The do file was interrupted. Would you like the batch job to continue?" It runs normally after selecting yes. A minor problem but it would be nice to avoid the extra key strokes everytime I run a program. Changing parameters to the batch call, for instance /e to /b, does not alter the behavior. Has anyone else seen this?
I saw this dialogue box (Windows 10 Server, Stata 17 MP) when clicking on the Stata icon in the task bar, after initiating a script with the Windows shell. As I understand, it is best to not click on the Stata icon in the task bar. Clicking "Yes" probably continues the process, though I can confirm that the Stata icon in the task bar (and shell) will go away after the script has finished running (after which one can look at one's log files) — I am using the /e option.
