Hi Statalist
I am studying the determinants of unemployment spell, which is, in my study, explained by explanatory variables like education, gender, age, marital status, experience in labour market, etc. The dependent variable comes in intervals such as less than 1 month, 1 month & above but less than 3 months, 3 & above but less than 7 months, 7 & above but less than 10 months, and 10 to 12 months, lastly. I want to write a programme for likelihood function for this in Stata. I have read this http://kumlai.free.fr/RESEARCH/THESE...E_in_Stata.pdf but I am unable to follow from this to my study. If my model is specified as the follwoing
unemployment spell= B0 + B1*education+ B2*gender+ B3*age + B4*marital status + B5*HH income +u , how can I write the likelihood function for this?
