I am using IPUMS microdata to run a differences-in-differences model and I want to augment it with a synthetic control approach. Now I know that the "synth" package works with aggregated data, but can I somehow generate synthetic control group for microdata as well? I know their is an R package "microSynth" but that is also limited to two time periods. I have a pre-treatment, treatment, and post-treatment periods- any references would be helpful.
