Good afternoon,
I have a 5-quarter longitudinal dataset and am trying to tabulate and graph the change in the summary statistics (preferably mean) of gross weekly wage for different ethnicities- represented by the categorical variable ETH012.
However, the gross weekly wage (GRSSWK) is the product of reshaping GRSSWK1 and GRSSWK5 only (as information on quarters 2, 3 and 4 are unavailable) and thereby creating the variable 'quarter' for quarters 1 and 5.
I have been unable to incorporate this 'quarter' variable sufficiently and produce a single table (and graph) comparing the mean of GRSSWK for different ethnic groups for both quarter 1 and quarter 5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated- I have tried and experimented, however my lack of Stata and econometrics knowledge has prevailed.
