I have an independent variable with four measures based on Likert scale of 7-point scale from strongly agree to strongly disagree. How can I create a scale with reverse code where higher number e.g. 7 (strongly agree score lower on the scale)? My goal is to create a Composite Index to sum up the Z scores of these 4 measures. Thank you.
