hi guys, would anyone please be able to explain to me how to combine two datasets, one of which is a stata file and the other being an excel file. I would like the stata file to be the master dataset, when i've tried to merge them previously i can only get it to work with the excel file being the master dataset. when i open the stata file, and try to merge with the excel file it won't let me merge since it is not in stata format. any advice on overcoming this issue? Thanks
