Dear everyone,
I am a bit confused in interpreting the coefficients in an ologit regression when both the dependent as well as the independent variables are categorical.
In my case my dependent variable BT is a categorical variable with the following values 1,2,3 (better than the average, about the same and bellow the average respectively). The independent variable is also categorical and takes values from 1 to 3 (denoting age categories. After running the regression I obtain the following results:
Agecat |
2 | .4033201 .3860402 1.04 0.296 -.3533048 1.159945
3 | .7925236 .3921938 2.02 0.043 .0238379 1.561209
While it is clear to me how to interpret the sign of the coefficient, I am not sure how to interpret the magnitude. If anyone could help, would be very grateful!
Best,
Eliss
