Dear Statalists,
I am currently working with a dataset from the European Values Survey. The past week I was able to open the dataset and I recode some variables. I was able to reopen the dataset every day the past week and today, it all of a sudden shows:
"not Stata format r(160)"
I have searched online and the most common problem with this would be if I would have used different versions of stata, but I have not. I have only used Stata 16.1 and have not changed anything else except for some of the variables. I have tried to reopen another dataset, to find out what the problem is, and the same error appeard. I have restarted the computer many times, deinstalled the software and redownloaded the software and I am lost as to what to do now...
I really hope someone can help me out! Thank you so much in advance!
