For this paper I'm working on, I was advised to include a scatterplot for the incomes of workers. I did an OLS regression beforehand where predictors were worker characteristics, and I moved on to adding the necessary ## and # to get the categorical by categorical interaction effects. Then, I moved on to assessing the margins with the marginsplot.
I'm a little confused where the scatterplot comes in here? Because I did look into the scatterplots of, say, the incomes of women/men in the 5 working sectors but how does this contribute to my analysis? Not to mention, these are categorical variables so I really just see the clustering in a sort of vertical manner. Is this okay?
Thank you!
