Dear Stata users,
I want to estimate a model in which the dependent variable is the labor force participation in the selection equation and is temporary employment in the outcome equation.
For example; heckprobit permanent_temporary sex i.cat_age i.cat_exp i.educ i.marstat2 i.formal_informal i.private_public i.occup_skill i.sector i.firmsize2 , select(lfs2 = sex##marstat2 i.cat_age i.educ numyoungchildren i.disability) vce(robust)
However, I don't want to use some of the explanatory variables in the selection equation in the outcome equation.
Do all the explanatory variables in the selection equation (except the variables used for the exclusion restrictions) have to be included in the outcome equation?
Thank you for your help,
Regards,
Selcuk
