I'm still new to stata and I want to convert my data from YearMn to which number of month is it.

I have a big number of lenders that invested in different loans. I want to generate their experience trading on a certain platform. I was able to get the overall experience for lenders (Example LenderId 3 had 3 months of experience)
I want to get the experience based on the number of month
Example:

month_bid
2010m10 = 1
2010m11 = 2
2010m12 = 3
2011m1 = 4
etc

The thing is that Lenders entered the market at different YearMn
